OUR STORY
In 1860, a ship called The Truro embarked on an epic voyage from the south of India headed for the western shores of South Africa.
The enthusiastic group of South Asians on The Truro arrived on the unfamiliar territory of South Africa and a vibrant and enduring community was born.
Our founders are descended from those who founded this original community. The food we serve is authentic and prepared using recipes handed down through the generations.
The unique and original flavours that are the hallmark of our food reflect the fusion of South Asian and African cultures from which it was born.
Our food is prepared with love and dishes are made for sharing. Our restaurants fill with the buzz of sociable gatherings.
